Hazel was a master cook and an expert seamstress. Her home was open for picnics and taffy pulls. She cared for her handicapped daughter Shirley as long as she could, then visited her regularly in nursing care for many years. Hazel did what was needed without a single word of complaint. Her favorite hymn was Saved by Grace. She was a beacon of dependability including regular church attendance even when she was 97. She was a quiet, self-effacing believer in the Lord.
