Nellie Copley's father was an original elder in the Camas Christian Church, so she was raised in a Bible-believing home. She became a public school teacher and taught some of the Minnehaha youth in that capacity, but she taught every young person attending the Minnehaha church over a period that may have covered 20 years. She was the star Sunday School teacher.

Nellie had a heart for world missions and showed it many ways. She was forwarding agent for Lee and Gerry Turner during the years they were in Pakistan. -- Charles Dailey
